settings: then in any chat write /refresh

Goto
File ---> Settings ---> DOWNLOAD
and set:
- Slot
= set as you want, if you get DISCONNCTED read the BOT message,
it will tell you how many slot you must set.
- Choose
in Default Download the folder for finished files
- Choose
in Unfinished Files a folder named "x:\dc++tmp"
(where X is your drive letter. If you don't
have that folder, create it)
Goto
File ---> Settings ---> SHARING
and set:
- Slot
= set as you want, if you get DISCONNCTED read the BOT message,
it will tell you how many slot you must set.
- Add
Folders to Share (also more than 1 folder) shared
folders inside a shrared one, are shared as well.
- DO
NOT SHARE THE "x:\dc++tmp" for
this reason this folder must be OUTSIDE of shared folders.
Goto
File ---> Settings ---> APPEARANCE
and as Select Text:
- Use
Arial 8 color white
- Window
color dark blue as AG
Goto
File ---> Settings ---> General
and:
- Choose
a nickname
- Write
an E-Mail to reach you
- Put
few words so that other people can read your message
- Choose
your connection type
- If
you have Windows XP:
- turn
off its built-in firewall or
- setup
as PASSIVE mode
- If
you have a router with port forwarding:
- setup
the port forwarding with the port 1412 free for your PC
IP address.
- IF
NOT, setup as PASSIVE
- if
you have port forwarding well programmed, then set ACTIVE
and put the IP address given to you by your internet
provider
After
/refresh , type also /help
to discover other DC++ Commands.
Type /help in both main and private chat because
commands are different.
